Interview with Historical Erotica author: Faye Hall

First let me say that I welcome the opportunity to interview my first ever Historical Erotica author. Please welcome Faye Hall

Here are two of her books to have a look at.

As a child, Rush Mullens saw her parents murdered before her eyes. She didn't know the men responsible, but she would find them. She wanted revenge. She didn't think she would also find a boy she could love more than her own life; a boy who grew into the man who would steal her heart. She couldn't let him endanger her plans for revenge, nor could she ignore that she was willing to risk all - her past, her life, her reputation - just to sample an ounce of passion from this man. Bailey Maston wanted to find a woman - the perfect woman - to give his heart to. He wanted to trust that she could exist. Everything he had seen in his young life, both at home and in society, told him what a foolish dream this was. When he finally discovers the truth of Rush's life, and the revenge she is enacting, will he allow the betrayal to keep him from the woman he yearns for...a woman he craves to free his well-guarded heart? Reader Alert!: Rush dreamed of passion and pleasure. What Bailey made her feel as he held her in his arms, the desires burning deep inside her, was beyond spell binding. It was a passion you will be begging to find yourself with each page you turn. To My Readers: I'm very excited about having 'My Gift To You' published with Red Sage. Many late nights and tears have gone into the chapters of this book. I love the heroine, Rush because she doesn't fit into the traditional female roll most common in the late 1800's. Also I love the town in which it is set as it reminds me so much of where I grew up. As I have read few romance novels based in early settlement Australia, I felt I had to bring you this story to open up people's imaginations and show them a part of Australia they may never have thought possible otherwise. EXCERPT: Her long black hair fell softly around her naked shoulders, loose silken strands gently escaping, caressing her bare breasts. Her dark, piercing eyes followed her caressing hands, her soft fingertips lightly touching his bare flesh. His eyes moving, absorbing inch by glorious inch of her bare flesh, he felt arousing warmth filling him. This naked innocent was more exquisite, more breathtaking than he could have dared to imagine possible. She was so much more than he ever thought any woman could be. When she reached for him, her soft fingers teasingly taking his jerking organ, he was sure he would pass out from the pleasure he felt. At the very least, he knew he would soon disgrace himself in her hand if she didn't stop her teasing attentions. Moving his hands to hers, he tried to push her away. Slowly her naturally pink, almost blood red lips pouted, her hand gradually ceasing its attentions. ""Please, Bailey. I want this . . . want you."" Focusing in on all the beautiful, dark features of this girl, Bailey could feel himself being filled by a strange, though intense, feeling. He knew he should refuse this woman's advances... . . . Society dictated he should. . . . . . His life dictated he must. . . Lifting his hand to her face, he let his fingers lightly touch her naturally blushed cheek. In this minute, he knew he couldn't refuse her. He was lost to her. ""Rush. . . ""

New Release!!!

Willow Jameson knew nothing of her family’s past or their connection to the Morgan family when she first met Re Morgan. All she seen was his ruggedly handsome appearance, his gentle words luring her into his strong embrace. What she found was a passion beyond compare.
She couldn’t have foreseen the lies and family betrayal that would inevitably rob her of the man she loved and forever change her life.
TEN YEARS LATER
Willow returned to the town life she loved so much, no longer ignorant to those who had separated her from the man she’d loved. She was back now to make those responsible pay for all they’d taken from her. In her search what she found was the hardened man Re Morgan had become…
…a man who’s mere glance reignited a passion she had thought long since forgotten.
Re Morgan had left a horde of jilted lovers in his trail. When he seen Willow again across the crowded dancehall, he wanted nothing more than to add her to this list. Re wanted little more than a short, heated affair.
What he became involved in was far more scandalous than he could have ever imagined.

Interview Time:

Faye Hall's passion driven, mystery filled books are set in small townships of North Queensland, Australia during the late 1800's.
Each of her novels bring something symbolically Australian to her readers, from Aboriginal herbal remedies, to certain gemstones naturally only found in this part of the world.
Each of her books tell of a passionate connection between the hero and heroine, surrounded and threatened by deceit, scandal, theft and sometimes even murder.
These romances swerve from the traditional romances as Faye aims to give her readers so much more intrigue, whilst also revealing the hidden histories of rural townships of North Queensland.

Faye finds her inspiration from the histories of not only the township she grew up in, but the many surrounding it. She also bases most of her characters on people she has met in her life.

Faye was able to live her own passion driven romance, marrying the love of her life after a whirlwind romance in 2013. Together they are raising their 9 children in a remote country town in northern Queensland, Australia.

1. Where do the ideas from your books comes from?
For my new release, She's Alot Like You, the idea originally came from a Lyndsay Buckingham (Fleetwood Mac) song about comparisons we as people make about the things and persons in our lives. He mentioned the comparison of two women and I thought it would make a great story. In all four of my books there is also a lot of mystery and suspense, and my love for these ideas come from all the Agatha Christie movies I watched with my mum as a child.

2. How easy is it to write Historical Erotica?
It has it's moments. The hardest part by far is making sure the clothing is appropriate for the time period, though I do tend to drift away from the normal fashions, given their inappropriateness in Northern Australia.

3. Why did you pick the genre Historical Erotica to write?
It actually kind of chose me. I always loved reading historical romances, but I would have loved them to have a bit more passion and heat in them; so I started writing my own.

4. What is a book that you can read over and over again?
 Any by Amanda Quick.

5. Are you a chocolate person?
Yes! Turkish Delight is my favorite.

6. What is one thing from your childhood that you still have with you?
I still have my first teddy bear though he's a tad tattered by now.

7. What advice would you give those who wanted to write Erotica?
Explore the many genres inside the world of Erotica until you find the one that fits you best. And always have a strong story tying all those passionate embraces together to keep the reader turning the pages for more.

8. Favorite music artist?
Jordis Unga

9. Does your family know what genre you write?
Most of them do. My children just know that mummy writes love stories.

Regards and much thanks.
