The Alex Hollick F.B.I. Series takes readers into an underworld of secretive government agendas and a troubled young agent caught between love, morality and survival. This exciting, gripping and original thriller series combines murder mystery, saga, love story, and conspiracy thriller into one satisfyingly complex and entertainingly atmospheric story.

Alex Hollick: Origins

In 1985, a young field agent enters a dark underworld of the FBI, where he must participate in the cover-up of a fellow agent’s corruption while protecting the woman of his dreams from the consequences.

For a free ebook, this was pretty good.
So we are introduced to Agent Hollick who is working on a case of bringing some bank robbers down. Though it turns bad pretty quickly.
Now what ends up happening is a turn of events that even Agent Hollick is not going to just sit back and let it go quietly under the rug. He will uncover all sorts of things going on within the FBI office while trying to protect those that he cares for. He knows not everyone can be trusted he just has to figure out who can be. I was a bit confused on the part of the torture that Agent Hollick was introduced to. I mean I could understand the why but it just didn't seem to fit well with the story. I do like how there was never a slow spot in the story it made it be a very quick and decent read.
Where the book ended I am curious as to what else will go on in Alex's life. It looks like he is filled with excitement.

Andrew DownsSince the release of his 2012 debut, The Bloodbath Ritual, the consensus has been clear…Andrew Downs brings something new and fresh to the thriller genre. From the five-part Alex Hollick Thriller Series to his latest offerings, The Leah Hudson Thrillers, each book leaves the reader gratified, yet hungry for more. With elaborate plotting, intense storytelling, three-dimensional characters, and jaw-dropping endings…the only thing you can expect is a satisfyingly complex and entertainingly atmospheric story.
